After a brief search, I've established that I didn't take any pictures of my time in Dubai. So, here is an unrelated picture of the boot of my car, containing some of the books that once lived in my library, (quite a few of these ones were particularly treasured) and now belong to another trusted party.
Dubai, was a brief, maybe six hour, stop over, on my way to Belgrade, Serbia. It was the 26th of February, 2025, and I landed at around midday.
What did I find in Dubai? To get between terminals you needed to take the airport train, which I found quite novel. None of the power points in waiting areas worked, so people couldn't recharge phones. This amused me greatly, right up to the point that I needed to charge my phone. As Telstra international roaming didn't work there, I had to use the local wifi network to ring V, which proved adequate. As expected, all food and drink was ridiculously expensive, and sold in the local currency only.
Beyond that, Dubai was unremarkable, and I was happy to board my rocket out of there.

J Chapman I'm glad you are chronocolising your journey.
ReplyDeleteThank you Aunty Janice. Yes, I think it's a good idea to jot everything down. Not just to remember it, but add something of a routine to my day, and to create something to create something akin to the files you showed me, just prior to my departure north.
DeleteYou might have used the Atlas, less geographical confusion maybe?
